Long Weekend for Shop Quik Team
Friday night was the first of four stops on the past weekend for the Shop Quik Racing Team and they made the most of it with a big win at the Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri with the MLRA.
On Saturday night they traveled south to the Lucas Oil Speedway for a Lucas Oil Dirt Series event with the MLRA. John finished 15th at that event.
On Sunday night they headed west to the Belleville High Banks for a World of Outlaws show where John ran well but pulled in during the A Main, finishing 16th.
On Monday night they pulled north to the Boone County Speedway in Albion, Nebraska for another World of Outlaws event where John ran well all night, ending up in 7th place. |
Bad Luck at I-80, Decent Run at Eagle, Runner-Up at Belleville on 4th of July Weekend
The holiday weekend opened on Wednesday night for the Shop Quik Racing Team and driver John Anderson as they competed in the make-up event for the Alphabet Soup race at I-80 Speedway. John led the majority of the feature only to have problems with the driveline near the end of the race to finish a distant 24th place.
On Thursday night the team headed a short distance south to the Eagle Raceway for a WDRL/NCRA event where John ran just outside the top 10 in 11th place.
Friday night was the High Banks of Belleville's turn to host the team and they fought off a very determined Kelly Boen, who had a great race with John, to finish 2nd to Kyle Berck.

14th After a Flat at Lucas Oil
John ran in the O'Reilly Late Model Challenge on June 21 at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. It featured 9 different sanctioning bodies in action, all being O'Reilly sponsored. John started 5th in the A Feature but got a flat on lap 20, sending him to the back but coming back to finish 14th.
This upcoming weekend the Shop Quik Racing Team will head to Hutchinson Raceway Park on Friday night before deciding where to go on Saturday night, either McCool Junction for the NCRA/TORA race or Nevada for the MLRA race. |
John Picks Up Win at MLRA Corning Show!
Friday night's action at Lakeside was rained out but the Saturday night show scheduled for Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa was a go and for the first time this year in MLRA competition John picked up the win and did so in all to familiar dominance. |
