Shop Quik Racing Team and John Anderson have Solid Showing at Topless 100
John Anderson and the Shop Quik Racing Team once again proved they are a team to contend with as they posted an outstanding appearance at the Topless 100 and won the Missouri State Fair Championship over the weekend.
The team competed in the Comp Cams Topless 100 over the weekend, ran in Batesville, Arkansas at the Batesville Speedway. John timed in a very respectable 9th overall and ran very well in his heat race, finish a very close 3rd to Terry Phillips at the line. This qualified the Shop Quik Team for the Main Event where John ran well early before a flat tire ended his night. Nevertheless it was a very good run for the Kansas based team.
On Sunday the team traveled north for the Missouri State Fair race in Sedalia, Missouri. The race, sanctioned by the O'Reilly MLRA Series, was rained out before the feature was ran. John posted a heat race win, defeating Phillips, and earned the pole position. With the rainout and no reschedule date the win was given to the top qualifier, meaning John Anderson and the Shop Quik Racing Team earned the distinction of 2007 Missouri State Fair Champions.
Up next for the team is a 3 day Labor Day weekend swing, Saturday night at the 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas for an O'Reilly NCRA/TORA sanctioned event, Sunday night at the Belleville High Banks for another O'Reilly NCRA show, and Monday night at Heartland Park Topeka for an O'Reilly TORA sanctioned event. John currently sits in second in O'Reilly NCRA while leading the O'Reilly TORA points
