10th Place Finish for John at MLRA Opener
John traveled to the Lucas Oil Speedway to open up the 2008 MLRA Season on Saturday April 5. He had a 4th place heat race finish, followed by a 10th place finish in the A Main.
John now heads to Lakeside and Thunderhill April 11-12 for 2 days of Late Model Shootout action with the O'Reilly MLRA and TORA Series'.
Anderson Named MidwestDirt.com Late Model Driver of the Year

One of Dirt Late Model's biggest rising stars this past year has wrapped up yet another title for his accomplishments. Omaha's John Anderson and the Shop Quik Racing Team have been named the 2007 MidwestDirt.com Late Model Driver of the Year. Anderson dominated in the coverage area and will be a threat once again in 2008.
Anderson won by a margin of 11 points over the runner-up. John had 8 wins and 18 top 5s on his breakout year while finishing with 76 points.

During the 2008 Wild West Shootout the Shop Quik Team came out to hunt. After coming off a very impressive 2007 season the 2008 season seemed to start off slow as John ran 14th on the first night but came home 9th on the second night for his first top 10. On the third night he continued improvement with a 3rd place finish. On the fourth and final nights he re-upped himself from 3rd to a win on each of those nights, ending strong with 2 wins, 3 top 5s, and 4 top 10s in 5 nights of racing.
